The Hazarduari Palace is the star attraction of Murshidabad. Built in 1837 by Nawab Najim Humaun Jah this palace is spread over 41 acres. It has thousand doors, 114 rooms and 8 halls, and is built on European lines. Today it is a museum with an impressive collection of arms, paintings and portraits, ivory carvings and valuable antiques from China and Europe.
